Behind Bars — and Still Drawing Fans

Despite the brutality of his crimes, Wade Wilson has developed a disturbing fan base while on death row at Union Correctional Institution in Raiford, Florida. Reports say he’s received nearly 4,000 prison messages, many from women — some containing explicit photos. At least 163 inappropriate images were blocked by officers, and a few women even begged the court to spare his life, calling him “misunderstood.”

State Attorney Amira Fox condemned this obsession: “I’ve never seen anyone as evil as Wade Wilson, and I’m stunned that anyone would choose to support such a monstrous individual.”

During his time at Lee County Jail between 2023 and 2024, Wilson was issued a prison tablet that took a photo every time he logged in. Those images, obtained through public records, show a man physically collapsing under the weight of his own actions — curly unwashed hair, cracked teeth, and a bandaged head suggesting injury or illness.

The once-calculated killer who tried to control his public image now faces a different reality — one of decay, isolation, and the inescapable truth of his crimes.
