Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s Monday evening speaking event with economist Paul Krugman at the City University of New York’s Graduate Center was repeatedly disrupted by several hecklers.
The individuals interrupted the discussion four times, voicing sharp criticism of Pelosi’s foreign policy record and accusing her of corruption and personal misconduct. Their comments focused largely on U.S. military interventions and related global consequences.
During one interruption, a heckler condemned Pelosi’s role in the Iraq War, accusing her of supporting military actions based on false claims about weapons of mass destruction. The protester also referenced U.S. involvement in Afghanistan, alleging that these actions contributed to widespread poverty and suffering in the region.
The same individual further raised questions about the Nord Stream pipeline, accusing the United States of responsibility for its destruction and claiming the incident left millions of Germans facing energy shortages.
Despite the repeated interruptions, the event continued amid heightened tension.
